Continuing problems of pollution, loss of forget, solid waste disposal, degradation of
environment, issues like economic productivity and national security, Global warming,
the depletion of ozone layer and loss of biodiversity have made everyone aware of
environmental issues. The United Nations Coference on Environment and Development
Environmental Education and Communication (EE&C) for Behavior Change
USAID/Bolivia contracted GreenCOM, the Environmental Education and Communication
(EE&C) Project, to conduct a participatory assessment of EE&C needs and opportunities,
develop an overarching EE&C conceptual framework and set of EE&C recommendations and
implementation options, and explore how EE&C could be used as a mechanism to help bridge
and develop stronger collaboration within USAID/Bolivia and between USAID/Bolivia and its
partners.
